When Sedge Beswick started working in social media Facebook was king, and TikTok didn’t even exist. Sedge is now one of the UK’s foremost voices on marketing and agency growth. Sedge founded the award-winning innovative influencer marketing agency SEEN Connects from the ground up, expanding it internationally and pushing the boundaries of her industry to a recent valuation of £24M. Before setting up Connects and working with brands like Nike, eBay, and Panasonic, Sedge shaped Red Bull and ASOS’ marketing strategies.
From pop stars to parenting influencers, Sedge has worked with numerous household names, including the musician Lewis Capaldi, television presenter Laura Whitmore, and comedian Jack Whitehall. She has published two books, hosted a podcast series, is a judge for industry awards, and is a regular guest expert for BBC News, Sky News, the Financial Times, and The Drum. Passionate about breaking down the barriers to entering her industry, Sedge has set up a mentorship programme to support young people entering social marketing, which has helped over 50 people land jobs. Further to this, she’s a well-respected visiting university lecturer and a public speaker, having hosted workshops for No.10 Downing Street and Google.
